A Tango With Terrazas

Argentinian wine regions are generally divided into 4 regions with further subregions. The four regions are Cuyo, North, Patagonia and the Atlantic as seen above.

Short Introduction of Terrazas de los Andes Winery

Terrazas de los Andes Winery is located in Cuyo, Mendoza. In the above map, it would be in the Central East of Argentina. Located at the foothills of the Andes, it is classified as a high altitude wine which adds unique and interesting flavours during the entire process from growing to harvesting to fermentation and finally bottling.

Mendoza is home to 75% of all the vineyards in Argentina, hence one can easily argue that it is the biggest wine region of Argentina. Argentina, and also in particular Mendoza, is famed for producing great quality Malbec which you will also get to taste during this event.

Introduction to Tango With Terrazas

Terrazas de los Andes started in the 1990s, when Hervé Birnie-Scott scoured and scouted the high altitudes of the Andes, seeking to find the most suitable elevation and area where he could create wines “where the sky meets the earth.” Terrazas de los Andes now has over 200 wine terraces which are irrigated with pristine glacier water.

These wines are from Argentina, Mendoza Valley and have won critical acclaim from many wine critics. During our event, we are pleased to let you taste a 95 pointer Grand Malbec which you can also buy at a very affordable price point.
